yeah, I didn't say I looked GOOD in a headband... I said I was having a headband day... which means I put one in my hair to keep the crap from falling in my face... it's about survival, not aesthetics....

I am always looking for the perfect hair serum or styling cream that has the perfect mix of frizz reducing, softening, reducing bulk and aiding the straightener. For an expensive one, THIS works best for me. It's about $18 a tube or something, a lot because I have so much hair I use a LOT at a time. For cheap drugstore brand, the Sunsilk Anti-Poof cream in the blue bottle works great for my hair to tone it down and keep the pyramid away. Also good ole Frizz Ease. And Pantene is great. And the Herbal Essences 'Hello Hydration' shampoo and conditioner in the blue bottles smell heavenly and are very good. |

I love headbands, especially some of the cute retro ones. They always give me a headache, though. |

I gave up on the plastic kind for that reason... these are the fabric ones... I wish I had enough hair to do the thicker fabric kind and really wrap them on... but no go for baby hair me.... |

maybe the trick is... a HAT! Nah, I look awful in hats... Miss G has the right attitude though... just rummage around while Mommy is cleaning your closet out and put on whatever feels good... too small summer shirt, too big winter corduroy pants, a hat that still has the cardboard shaper in it, last year's flip flops and an errant ribbon around your neck... grab two purses and you are good to go! Oh, and as a surprise for Mommy when she goes to change your pullup, make sure you have on 3 diaper covers... I wondered why her butt was so poofy!

I can't believe I'm going to do this, but I thought I would show you my mini-mart worth of products I was talking about yesterday.
I teased Riss about spending that much on a flat iron, but everything I have probably far exceeds that. ![]() ![]() ![]() The above two pictures are the basics of what I use on a 'everyday' basis as my "beauty routine". The pictures below are pictures of everything I have, I pulled things from my bathroom cabinet, bedroom drawers, all over the place. Anyone need anything? Please notice the doubles of a couple of things. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last, but not least here are the lipsticks I found in my purse...just one purse. ![]() ![]() I need help.

![]() I haven't used my hot rollers in a dog's age, but you KNOW if I get rid of them...........I'll need them!!! I've even got a curling iron and blow dryer downstairs........brand new, never opened that I got on sale.......in case one broke!! ![]() Don't get me started on makeup. I'm addicted to the "free gifts" that you get when you purchase a certain amount from Clinique or Lancome.....or Estee Lauder and they give you a cute makeup bag with small size goodies. I barely wear makeup during the week. Just lipstick.....and of course my favorite colors are discontinued! ![]() How sick am I!! ![]()

Belinda, I probably have at least as much, too... and I rarely use any of it! I had to laugh when I saw the Big Lot stickers on the eyeliner - the only reason mine don't still have the stickers on them is because I have to take the packaging off to make room in my suitcases for MORE stuff when I bring them down here! I think one of my reasons for justifying them is that they don't take up much space... but a lot of my space is sure taken up by the collective lot of 'em. Thanks for being the first to come clean...

Nice hat on Riley!!!
![]() Belinda, that is not that bad at all, you are okay. I just counted and I have 6 lipsticks and glosses and balms in my purse and desk too. Plus a powder, 2 eyeliners, matting papers for oily skin, mascara, and a lipliner. ![]() Plus in my locker in the bathroom here at work I have two hairsprayss, one silicon glosser and two hair waxes, a cheap hair straightener for 'emergencies', three perfumes, Tampax, and even a pit stick for some strange reason. ![]() and this is at WORK! ![]() So I too, am a product whore.

Oh honey...it that it???
We have a lot of the same stuff, btw. Gotta love mineral makeup and those fluffy little kabuki brushes!!! ![]() I'm moving this weekend and you would not believe the crap I've pulled out of my bathroom cabinets! Being in the "beauty biz" I'm given all kinds of stuff from Bare Minerals complete kits to bags of samples to full sized skin care products I never use...but I keep them all, cuz ya just never know when you might need a tiny pot of calendula hydrating mask to throw in your baggy for Mexico!!! ugh. I've thrown away most of it but some of the stuff thats unused I'm putting in the garage sale. People will buy anything.

I'm a "collector" too, I confess...so I've gotten into the habit of purging the bathroom cabinets every 6 months or so. It just gets too crowded and the stuff I don't use gets pushed to the back. All the make up I use daily fits nicely into a plastic bin that I got as a free gift from Clinique years ago. I won't put anything new into it without throwing out something I don't use. If it doesn't all fit in that bin, it goes in the garbage.
And as far as hair goes, I solved my hair product issues completely! I had my hair styled a couple of weeks ago....SHORT!! I LOVE it! A little mousse, a quick two minute blow dry, a little hair spray and I'm good to go. I couldn't figure out why I was getting to work 10 minutes early...then I realized that it's my new "hair routine"! ![]()
