Is that a pack of smokes in the one on the right's jeans?

I just like knee boots, but more on Liam Neeson types.

Oh! Ridley Scott directing Russel Crowe in Robin Hood. Bring it.

maybe smokes?? Or a Sucrets tin, perhaps??

Yes, I am more into the hip waders on fly fishermen a la Brad Pitt in A River Runs Through It ....rather than THOSE two.

Living proof. | Extraordinary beauty products with advanced materials & science.

This is the new product I took with me to Playa last winter. Worked really well combating frizz.

That looks interesting! Is it expensive?

I forgot to tell you ladies what I recently discovered!

Anyone have really calloused heels? I always do in winter, thick dead yellowish skin...they don't bleed but I get the shallow cracks.

Well, I googled how to fix it a couple months ago and it said to try urea cream, so I did. I bought this kind, Uremol 20% urea cream- but any high concentration type will work, I bought this just at Safeway, $9 for a tube that is not even half gone, it goes a long way.

I started back in sock season so I put it on in the AM and then put socks on right away, and then again after my shower and then more thin socks (I usually ripped them off in the middle of the night, I can't stand socks on when sleeping).

It worked AMAZING....the best part is, it seemed to dissolve away the dead skin- no pumicing required, I maybe used my pink Scholls blade once a week, that was it! Now my feet and backs of toes are soft and callous free, and ready for summer.

Pretty comparable to salon products, way more than drugstore products. I was using Aveda and Frizz ease together. This works better for about the same price.

A friend of mine got "permanent" lash extensions today. From what I could get from some searches, it seems like it's individual false eyelashes that are applied to your own lashes, and that the extension will last until the natural lash is shed. There are different fullnesses and lengths... she said she did the outer edge of her lashes, and it cost $100. She says it was worth it! I hope to see her this weekend to check it out myself. I'm also curious about what it starts looking like 2 weeks in.... Has anyone tried this?

Sue- she was responding in the bolded line at the top, the hair topic...no she does not put it on her feet.

nope, have heard of it though. I would not bother since it is not permanent. Ask her how long it lasts, and report back, though- okay? If the effect lasts about 6 months or more, it might be worth it?

I saw an epsiode on Anna and Kristina where they did a comparison shop of the extensions:

Anna & Kristina - Test Lab - Health & Beauty - Eyelash Extensions

according to that link, extensions last 1-4 weeks on first-timers and 4-6 weeks on regulars...for $100 I would not bother. mascara works well enough for me.

Here is another test they did, lash growth products. One called Latisse worked the best.

Anna & Kristina - Test Lab - Health & Beauty - Eyelash Growth Products

It's $120 a month, prescription only, and takes 4 months to get the full results...but apparently it really works! They showed the results, one woman's grew by 1.5 mm.

The idea behind lash growth products is that they increase the length of time that the lashes are in the growth phase, and also increase the number of hairs that appear during the growth phase.
It is actually the same ingredient in glaucoma drops...women would ask to get the drop in the other eye to match the eyelash growth on the affected eye (patients who only had glaucoma in one eye).

Thanks for the additional info. My friend said that she would need a fill in about 4 weeks... that seems a little long to me, especially if the extensions have gotten a little thin/sparse! The weird part of the whole thing to me is the no makeup part of it. And with not supposed to get the lashes too wet, I guess they may not be a real good option for vacation, which is the reason I was intrigued by it in the first place! Could see that it might be the ultimate in splurging for a special occasion, though.

I'm with you - mascara has been good enough for me, too,..... but wouldn't it be great if we were able to find something that would finally put an end to the quest for that perfect mascara? Then we would have all our time free for finding the perfect hair products!
