Thor..... Just in case I get all wrapped up in this house stuff during the next few days and forget to do so later, I want to wish you and Kari a WONDERFUL time on your trip!!!!! And I'm REALLY looking forward to meeting both of you the day before you leave Playa!!! See you at the Beer Bucket on the 12th!!!

We came home from Playa yesterday after one of our best vacations ever. It has been 3 weeks with a lot of contrasts. I will show you this with pictures. But first a short résumé of what we did.

At first we had a wonderful 4 nights stay at the Luna Blue Hotel in Playa Del Carmen. Then we took a 10 days trip:

Day 1
Bus from Playa Del Carmen to Chetumal.

Day 2
Bus from Chetumal via Belize City to Flores in Guatemala.

Day 3
Bus from Flores to Tikal where we stayed at the Jungle Lodge just at the entrance of the ruins.

Day 4
Bus back to Flores.

Day 5
Bus, boat and buss from Flores to Palenque and buss from Palenque to San Christobal de las Casas in Chiapas, Mexico.

Day 6
We stayed in San Christobal de las Casas.

Day 7
Bus from San Christobal de las Casas to Palenque.

Day 8
We stayed in Paleque and went to the ruins.

Day 9
We stayed in Palenque and went to the waterfalls at Misol Ha, Aqua Clara and Aqua Azul.

Day 10
We stayed in Palenque and went to Palenque town, and we took the night bus back to Playa Del Carmen.

Then we had 7 wonderful nights in a Penthouse room in Changri-La Caribe. A great way to relax after the roundtrip.

OH! I was working A LOT, plus Lil Rosita has changed my life, its like a baby and I never go out at nights anymore (

Well, let's start with the beginning: We left Drammen, Norway early morning July 23.

Here is Kari on the train to the airport

We flew with Continental Oslo-New Ark-Cancun this time. It was more comfortable than via Amsterdam or Frankfurt as we did before.

We arrived in Playa Del Carmen late the same day with a 7 hour time change. The room at the Luna Blue hotel was nice and quiet.

The Luna Blue hotel is such a nice place to stay. Quite central, not far from the Mamitas Beach Club and very quiet.

The hotel and garden are beautiful.

I wish I had more time with the owners Tony and Chery. They are such nice people. The whole staff are very friendly.
