Porto Playa Condos

(don't spank me! I did do a search but when you plug in Porto Playa you get every single post with the word "porto" or "playa" in them. I even tried putting "Porto Playa" in quotes but that did not help.)
Anyhoo - we are seriously considering a 3 bedroom unit there for our family trip over thanksgiving and we'd love to hear from anyone who has stayed at Porto Playa. I know the units are fairly new and from the pics they look amazing. It's just on the high end, price-wise, and we'd love to hear more first hand info before taking the plunge. Thanks!

Our very own forum member Tesla owns at Porto Playa. Perhaps she will chime in. Personally, I think they look FABULOUS and would stay there in a heartbeat! I don't see any downside to this property at all, and even though it's $$$, it looks to be well worth it.

You should send an inquiry to Playa.Info through the trip planning section, as they are listed on this site. I am sure Heather would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

Thanks, peeps!! The condos sure do look incredible - especially those penthouses! Hubby and I are looking at one of those becasue we figure that after the kids go to bed that roof deck will be a perfect place to hang out with a bottle of wine, centenario, whatever GAH! What does that countdown ticker say....?

These condos are excellent.

I have been through several of the units at Puerto Playa. They are all kept immaculately. The management is excellent. If there are any problems it is addressed immediately. The project is very impressive with incredible plantings and a fine pool. The location is excellentbecause it is pretty quiet at night, but you are a block from 5th and another block from the beach. The 3 bedroom unit is beautifully designed. You will have a great time there.

The developer bought the old Blue Beach hotel and is building a beautiful condo project on the beach complete with beach club. Porto Playa will have access to this club.

Is that the El Taj? Saw the site when we were there in Jan.

Not the El Taj

The same developer who built the Puerto Playa units is currently building the El Taj, which looks to be a lovely smaller proejct, one block from the beach. The same developer is going to replace the Blue Beach hotel with a very high end project on the beach (currently the name of the project is not known). This developer has done the best construction in Playa. Everything he does may not be cheap, but they are beautiful and well maintained. I am sure the new beachfront project will be a standout too.
