Sandos Caracol Beach Resort & Spa, Punta Bete

Is Sandos Caracol Beach Resort & Spa still open? We stayed there in 2002 and I cant find any info on it in expedia and such. We're trying to plan a wedding at a resort for this summer. weve also stayed at Dreams but when it was Allure. any info on any resort would be great. I have been reading all the info already on the posts about weddings and they have been helpful. thanks Amy

We are heading there in 16 days so it better be open. This will be our first trip there. It was under a different name back then.

The resort itself is like most any resort, they have beach volleyball and the pools which they do water aerobics and volleyball in, plus there are Hobie cats and such you can get from the dive shop, horseshoes, Tennis Courts....
As for Tours, I recommend booking them directly through the tour itself rather than at the hotel, I usually book my own tours and alot of them will pick you up and drop you off too... My favorite ones from my last trip were Discovery Jungle Park and Formula 1 offshore......

Depends what you like...
Go to Trip Planning at the top of this site, you can find info on the Formula one there, Plus you get a free shirt and a discount (if booking 14 days in advance) by going through Playa Info....They pick you up and drop you off.
Also google Discovery Jungle Park...They are great fun and will pickup/drop you off too...
