Bears couldnīt go hibernating in Spain because temperatures were warmer than normal. Ski resorts in Europe had a difficult start due to lack of snow. Last year I went skiing at Lake Tahoe in the middle of April and there was a lot of snow in the area around the lake, go figure. And now in the middle of Winter we donīt have enough snow on the top of our mountains (3 of the tallest ones in the continent) |

According to an article in the local paper; Groundhog Day was originally "hedgehog day". When they came to the new world there were apparently no
hedgehogs to be found so the ground hog was used. A local hedgehog here in upstate NY also predicted an early spring. I'm hoping they are both right. I'm also really bummed that I missed all three showings on local cable of "Groundhog Day". One of the best movies ever. Guess I'll drag out the DVD tonight. |
