Then end the debate............

Show me concrete evidence that man has had a perceptible impact on climate change.

i.e. X amount of anthropogenic greenhouse emissions have caused X amount of warming

The bottom line problem with your arguement is that you can't, just that you've been spoon fed "global warming" is bad. Global warming (and cooling) has been going on forever on this rock we call home.

The latest IPCC report shows ~29 inches of sea level rise using the most inacurate data with the most ficticious parameters. Yet your poster boy in his science fiction epic is claiming 20 feet. Chicken Little in to the rescue. The better data shows ~7-10 inches, and this by a biased group that caters to the hook, line and sinker crowd.

Should we cut emissions? Yes......even us unenlightened souls can see that. The question is how and who decides? The market or Chicken Little.

Preponderance.

From those unreliable idiots at the World Health Organization. Please note the last paragraph about the need to reduce pollution from cars:

Again, proof......that's all it takes. And you can't come up with it because it's not there.

So you walk around being skeptical that the sun will come up tomorrow?

It's there. It's been published. But as Swift so famously noted, "There are none so blind as those who will not see."

Pardon my ignorance here ....but basically all this article is saying is "Global warming could lead to more bugs in England and other cooler climates" and therefore, naturally, more diseases which are related to those bugs...how is this really 'news'...this is common sense.... is it not?

People in warmer countries have been putting up with that for centuries.

EDIT: Those Brits...they should just grin and enjoy the warmer temps...wait until the gulf stream turns off and they fall into an ice age- they'll have something to really complain about then! Good thing they have warm colonies to emigrate too.

That was kinda the point i was trying to make Steve.... you show me a "war and peace" length study to prove global warming and i will give you the same waste of paper to prove its non-existance... we all just seem to be going round in circles with the "its real-its not" argument, at the end of the day all we really know for sure is the unarguable fact that its costing billions upon billions of £/$ of whatever currency you wish to chose that could and should be spent on the here and now.... .

And NASA, more kubaya ignorance?

According to Zwally, the NASA glaciologist, humans can limit the effects of global warming by acting now to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. But if we continue to pollute at the current pace, he says, by the end of the century the Greenland ice sheet and part of Antarctica could be undergoing irreversible decline.

That's not preponderance.

I can measure the spin of the Earth. That is concrete. I know that the Sun is relatively stationary, I can measure that.

Why would I be skeptical? It's measurable.

Again, eliminate the debate. All you need is proof that X amount of human greenhouse gas causes X amount of temperature rise.

I hate to say it but I don't think the thread would be this long if we were having a 'fact based' discussion. Nice try though, I think Steve pegged it with "preponderence".

Nope, because of preponderance!

I didn't say that was preponderance. It's just in reference to your hyper-skepticism.

It's already been presented to you a gajillion times. Try post one of this thread, if you like. But I think you and yours just won't accept it.

Nothing to see here, folks -- move along! Show's over!

Again the article you just quoted says 36 inches - maybe. It's risen 100 meters since the last ice age, man didn't cause it to rise that much. Again, the IPCC claims 7 inches. Certainly not the 20 feet predicted in the all holy global warming science fiction epic "An Inconvenient Truth or those of you with prosperity guilt buy some carbon credits from my company"
