Hey! I've always loved this song!

Here's the irony though, for me...

What they say takes place in 6565? For my family, it took place in August of 2000.

My son, Iain, is a "test tube" baby. Not only that, he was conceived using ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection). What does that mean, you ask? Well, it means that an embryologist took one of KelliG's harvested ovum and snagged (with a very, very, very small glass pipette) one of my sperm, and MANUALLY inserted my sperm into KelliG's egg, then reimplanted the embryo into her at the blastocyst stage.

Truly, in every sense of the word, an absolute miracle of modern medicine. Look:

See what I mean?

And what's so cool about all this?

We didn't have to wait until 6565!!!

I'll have to second that unconditionally, having ourselves been blessed with a similar miracle in 2003.

[OFF TOPIC]

I wonder if we have any other IVF parents on the board?

[edit] sorry to have taken this off topic - I've opened another thread on this!

Hi Stewart,

Its best not to argue with fools or you might be mistaken for one.

That being said this should be good to stir the pot.

Global warming by humans today is the nuclear winter of the 80's. Bulls**t beyond comprehension. The earth is getting hotter because the sun is getting hotter (number one cause of global warming). All human production of green house gas (number 9) is way behind the gas produced by termites (number 5 or 6) and it would take one good volcanic eruption (number 8) to dwarf human activity. As for rising ocean levels, get as wide a container as possible. Fill it half way with water then add ice so that the ice is still floating and mark the level of the water. When the ice melts check the level again. If physics is right then the level will be the same. One of my first rules in political activism that I teach is to never read your side's propaganda rags, read the other sides rags.

BTW, if you have the chance to go to Florence, its a GREAT city!

When it melts, what happens, smart boy or girl?
Answer me that

You are more than a great dive buddy - you are a great counterbalance to my "mass" of liberal claptrap on this board!!!

P.S. Been to Florence. Awesome city. On my honeymoon in 1999 I bought a briefcase in the outdoor leather market near El Duomo (sp?) and I've used it EVERY DAY since then!

Hi Roni,

You failed physics didn't you, I didn't. Given the amount of ice sitting on land and looking at the amount of liquid water on the planet if all of it melted, outside of Antartica in its entirety, it wouldn't be a fart in a whirlwind. And if you think that palm trees will be growing in Antarctica because of global warming then your reality is very different from the rest of us.

Hi Stewart,

We were on a one day trip from Rome to Florence, it was a very nice break from that place. At the end of the day we were waiting for the bus by one of the bigger of the churchs and stopped in for a quick visit. It seems that if you were anyone they stuck you there, Leonardo, Micky, Fermi, Dante, little Mach'y. Seriously, if you want another couple of dives to get you ready for cenotes, let me know the time and I will see you in San Marcos. Have a GREAT time in Mexico, wish we were there too.

Jeff

PS. Just thought I would have some fun this evening !

Well, Jeff then answer me this:

How come scientists are talking about ocean levels rising between 15 and 40 feet over the next 25-75 years. Where is all that water coming from?

It BS Roni! Like I said, run the test and see if the water level rises when the ice melts. Prove it to yourself, let your own eyes see the results!

Please, a serious answer based on science beyond a grade school level experiment.
