Specifically I need a contact number (phone, fax or E-mail) for the hotel Plaza Mariachi on 5th avenue and 16th. I stayed at the hotel two years ago and want to book for February. The numbers I have are out of service.

Hey...spent 5 nites there this past August. Great hotel with great rooms. Try to get one with a refrig...it really comes in handy. I have their email address as follows:

hotelplazamariachi@hotmail.com
Senor Pablo Medina

I checked my receipts. It shows this telephone number (987) 3 02 27 and 3 15 18
it also shows their email as mariachi@playadelcarmen.com

I'm not to sure about this email since the emails I received from them came to me from the hotmail.com address.

We were extremely happy with this hotel.

Hi

Does anyone have any info on Club Bananas, looking for a place to stay in January 2002, considered a condo, any good ideas on that?

We stayed at the Club Bananas February 2000. At that time they were in the process of expanding some of the common buildings. Rooms are small but clean and quiet. Prices are reasonable. The meals were decent (I hadn't stayed at an all inclusive before so had nothing to compare with). There is a small restaruant at the hotel (bookings required) which had good food and service. The beach club is a ten minute walk from the hotel. A bus is available for transport to the beach but dosn't always run - and the walk is pleasant.

The hotel itself is a 15 minute walk to the busy section of playa (ie. 5th Avenue to 14th street)so is quiet at night.

Generally the hotel appeared to be family or couples oriented.

Hope this helps.
