Ula Gula: raw deal

It is a shame that our wonderful vacation in Playa del Carmen (great people, good food and fantastic location) was marred by a single bad experience at Ula Gula. But, if this post keeps just one or two of you from having the same experience, it will be worth it. Ula Gula is an upstairs restaurant on 5th avenue, next to south 10th. It offers ridiculously small portions at inflated prices. I should have known something was wrong when the wine glass they brought us had hardly any wine into it. By the time we were done, having spent close to $ 50, we were still hungry, and had to go to another restaurant just to take care of our hunger.

That is too bad that you had this experience. Did you ask them to add more wine to your glass? I have always had great service at this place. In fact, we used to order our food at the little bar downstairs that is a separate business from Ula Gula and we would get great service there as well.

sorry, but I don't really think a 1st post should be like this. You have to establish credibility first, IMHO, you can't just join to slag a place.
