Found a new place for lunch, when you want a change from Super Carnes de Monterey...

Just cross Jaurez and a walk north on 20th and find...

Asadero del Pollo

A giant BBQ pit and an enclosed patio Blue and White

Currently they have a special of 1/4 chicken plus rice, sauce, tortillas etc for 37 pesos.

I got the 1/2 checken for the same price and it was delicious. Really just good fresh roasted chicken (covered in nice spices). They gave me a to go bag of red salsa and some tortillas as well, but the chicken is the stuff.

Next time I'll probably get 2 1/4s (dark meat only) since the breast was just a little dry (as it often is).

That is a great place for pollo asado. Inexpensive and very tasty.
