Too cold and now snow! In the teens the rest of the week... major heat wave Can't wait to get to Cancun and crack open the first ice cold cerveza. Hopefully my transportation will have a few extras for the road.

The weather here is finally breaking. You know it's been cold when "0" seems warm.

Don't think you replied before. I have a question for you. Have you ever flown from Rockford to Cancun? The reason I ask is that I see that Apple (Allegiant Air) is offering flights from Rockford and this would work great for me. It's only about an hour drive and if I understand right the parking is free.

Thanks to all who have welcomed me. Just in case I haven't said that.

The Rockford Airport is GREAT! It is very small, and has free parking in a surface lot. It's like parking at Target and walking into the store. It bears no resmblance to the experience of flying out of O'Hare or even Milwaukee. I have flown Allegiant out of Rockford to Vegas a couple of times - no problems at all. Have fun, Doc

Sounds great Doc. I was also thinking of trying to fly to Vegas for the football game this fall. This adds some more options. Any favorite places to stay in Vegas?

It will be great when the Badgers play there...I have gone every previous time. The city will be awash in red. I enjoy the Tropicana, because it is stii like "Old Vegas", but it is constantly "about to be torn down", so I never know if it will still be there! I've stayed a number of places there, so if you decide to go to the Badger game, send me a private message, and I'll tell you what I think. I the meantime, have a great trip tp Mexico! Doc
