La Pesca

Had the day off today (Constitution Day), and took the kids for their haircuts. Found a new seafood place directly across from Comercial Mexicana. Food was good, price was cheap (65 pesos for pescada empinazada) and the atmosphere is like a little oasis from the crowded 30th. It is a big palapa type joint with a waterfall in the corner. I will definitely be going back.

Shrimp tacos and empanadas are on the menu, as well. I will try those next time.

Hey, I walked by that place last week and thought it looked really pretty. Now I'll have to try it.

It is on 30th, directly across from Comercial Mexicana. You can't miss it, as it is the only palapa on the block.

They've been building that place on and off for at least a year!

It does look inviting and very clean, but we haven't tried it yet.

A useful piece of information.....if you know where Comercial Mexicana is. Some indication of a cross street would be helpful for us non-locals. Thanks PdS.

The restaurant is on 30th Ave just south of Avenida Constituyentes, er opposite an enormous orange building called MEGA (La Commercial or 'La Comer')

Muchos gracias. Now I know exactly where it is, and we'll certainly give it a try. LOVE seafood! That big box joint wasn't open yet during our last visit, but I recall it was orange.
