Airconditioning RIU Tequila

How's the airconditioning in RIU Tequila? Is it good? I read somewhere that you can't turn it on or off in your room, that the staff decides when they turn it on or off. Is it usually on at night?

And when is that?? At night? I don't care if it's off during the day, we'll be on the beach or doing an excursion anyways, but I really hope it's on at night!

...i can't speak for the riu tequila, but the riu yucatan and riu palace mexico rooms have their own A/C control which can be adjusted by the guest...when the room's patio doors are opened, the A/C shuts off automatically, not a bad idea ...we've never had a problem with A/C day or night...i will say that some nights, the ceiling fan was enough to keep us quite comfortable...i hope you find your room's A/C to be to your liking at the tequila!...

Hi Sandra , we find the a/c at the Tequila very good although we didn't use the a/c much as pointed out in the last post the ceiling fan cooled the room off enough at nite. we were on the 2nd floor so we just cracked open the balcony door and turned the fan on slept great

Normally I would sleep with balcony doors open too on holidays, but I'm too scared of the tarantulas and scorpions there!!!

After getting a nice burn (or I mean tan) the AC might not be needed. There were some nights at the Riu Palace Mx that we froze from the AC. Ceiling fan was all that was needed.

When we stayed at the Tequila our room had its own thermostat. Still was not cool enough for me but you can always hop in the pool to cool off.
