Actually there is a local guy here that according to him the Mash writer knew him from Korea. The character "Radar" is really him. It's a good story even though it may not be true. The man was interviewed and our local newspaer run the story. All I know he was a radio operater in Korea and that part is true.

I was just in the home town of Kid Rock yesterday...Romeo, MI. Not really the hard gangster life he raps about. It is a small farm town about 30 miles north of detroit. Though I do live about 10 miles from where Eminem grew up and it is not very nice at all. Madonna grew up not too far away in a very rich are called Rochester Hills.
