Hi just an FYI I have been searching also for weeks for cheap airfare to Cancun, and here's what I have found out. I am leaving from Los Angeles and this is what I found for going in the month of July.
orbitz.com $591.06 round trip Alaska Airlines
Aero Caribe Mexican AIrlines $592.53
There is a rate on CheapTickets.com that says $199.00 1 way but never was able to get to that paticular site.
That's about the cheapest I found.
