Posada Sian Ka'an

Has anyone actually stayed at Posada Sian Ka'an? I have reservations for March 6-10, and I am getting a little nervous.....I've searched the forum, but can't seem to find anyone who has actually stayed there. Any feedback is appreciated!

We haven't stayed there but we checked it out and it seemed like a very nice place to stay. It has a perfect location just off the beach and the grounds are nice.

I have stayed there a couple times. Do you have specific questions? I assume you are aware that they have no a/c. We have always stayed in one of the rooms on the top floor in January or February.

I am aware that there is no A/C...I just haven't told my sister yet. I'm going to act surprised when we get there. I was just wondering the basics, is it clean, safe, comfortable??

Yes to all those things. I just wouldn't want to be without a/c in March. Did you get an upstairs room that catches a good sea breeze?

Honestly, I have no idea what room we are staying in, I guess I never thought to check. As long as we are clean and safe, we can put up with the heat (I hope)

It's bound to be better than the weather we're having right now!

We emailed that place twice when we were first looking around for a place to stay...and they never responded. So, that turned us off. It seemed like a really good 'deal' though so please let us know your thoughts after you've returned! I would be personally interested to know more about it. (I may have to think twice about no AC though...we went to Playa in Jan/Feb and we did use the A/C quite often...more to get the humidity out of the room than to cool it down )
.
Good luck with your stay.

We'll be there 3/15-27

We got email response within 24 hours of contact and they always responded to each inquiry within 24 hours or so. Is your spam filter very aggressive?

I was in Playa the last week of July and the first week of August last year without AC. It wasn't my first choice, but it's do-able. Just start and end the day under the cold shower. I was staying up near the Wal-Mart then, being next to the beach should be better.
