Help choosing AL resort in PDC????
Hi,
We will be visiting PDC later this year and need help choosing a resort :-? . The main criteria that we have is that it is as close as possible to PDC Centre but still has a fairly decent beach (if that's possible?) Most of the really nice AL's seem to be too far away from PDC. We were considering the Gran Porto Real but have read a few negative reviews about this resort. If we did end up in a hotel further out from PDC is it fairly easy/cheap to travel into the centre? Would also prefer a hotel that doesn't have a huge amount of children though we realise that all of the adult only hotel's are quite a distance from PDC. Any help would be greatly appreciated ????? 8) |

do you want to be beachfront. If not we stayed at Club Bananas which is about a 5 to 10 minute walk from 5th avenue. It is on the north end of town and is in a very safe area to walk around in. Club B. has a beach club that you can either walk to { took us about 7 minutes} or ride there Banana bus which leaves every 15 minutes. We preferred to walk as there were neat little restaurants and hotels to look at. There beach club includes the bar which has swings you can sit at as well as vollyeball , soccer nets , snorkelling gear boogie boards. The Beach club is situated on one of the best beach areas in town. The drinks were great and the food at the hotel was by far the best we have ever tasted at an all inclusive. Make sure to try some of the restaurants in town though. This is a small all inclusive resort with only a little over 100 rooms. It is an older resort but was still kept very clean and we had no trouble with hot water. As a result of not an over amount of people there we got to know others and staff very well. Entertainment every night which was considerable good for an all inclusive, kept us laughing and done early enough you could go to town and party after. They have a pool at the hotel and a wonderful area where there are hammocks to lie in. Do a search and you might find a couple reviews on Club Bananas. This is one choice among many. Hope it helps. |

if you can book your own flights for cheap you can book your own room with all inclusive option. We got a better rate then was offered in the brochures. This was easy to do from Canada and we did all through the internet. Check out there website.
If this is to much of a hassle I am sure someone else should be able to help you. Hope you find what you are looking for. |
