Blizzard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, damn it, we are getting dumped on with tons of snow. The wind is expected to reach gusts over 60-80 mph!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope that it gusts like that out in the country and not here in the city. It is very windy and and the snow is drifting. Fortunately, right now, the wind is blowing it off the end of my driveway....never fear, though, the snow plow will come through and take care of that!

We just had 3 huge burts of lightening and thunder. Yikes!

We are expected to get somewhere from 7-14 more inches on top iof the 5-7 we had last night.

I hate winter.... (but it's better than hurricanes)

Hi Barb&Meg . we are just talking about the weather on a couple of other threads as well .... it is crazy, although Madison sounds like it is getting it the worst -- you guys have official 'blizzard warnings' .. we just have 'storm warnings'.

AND..... the blizzard hasn't even started yet. It's not supposed to start until midnight! If I can stand up in the wind, about 11pm I'm going to go out and try to snowblow some of the driveway etc. Then again, with the sounds that I just heard against the window..... maybe I'll just drink Malibu instead.

I did stock up on some comfort food - honey chicken wings and chocolate cup cakes.

I baked Brownies today...it looks like the snow may have stopped or slowed here, but it's all around us so I'm sure it will start back up.

Wow, you are getting pounded!

We have freezing rain/sleet/snow, but only expected to get a few inches. I just spent the last hour and 1/2 in the dark.

Stupid power went out and I had to go into survival mode. I jumped in the shower hoping to salvage the last of the hot water, called the electric company...no answer and no estimation of fixage.
So started packing up camp getting ready to head to my sister's when the lights came back on

We had ice stuff all day...couldn't even walk outside...now covered in snow...PLAYA here I come!

Where do you live in Iowa? My daughter goes to Iowa State, but is in Spain right now .........

I can hear the stuff pelting the window; it's starting to sound like it has some sleet mixed in... great! I can just see me trying to push the snowblower down the driveway, on a downward incline, on top of icy crap. Somwone will have to video tomorrow for sure!

9:55pm........It's officially here in Milwaukee. I can hardly see the house across the street. I think I'll be waking up to a winter wonderland.

One week from Monday and we're in Playa for Peepstock! Don't ya know we'll be visiting the webcam tomorrow

Used to be able to get tix for the boy's state BB tourney, but NOT for the girls....

By the way, my IU Hoosiers are going down to defeat to Michigan St.
Been following it on espn.com.
Well, I HAVE to have the TV on Sin City....
