Why is it.... ?
Just came up to my mind this morning that so far on peep meets (at least on those I participated) there were always way more single women than single man.... anyone has an explanation for that?
It's not really important but.... |

I am going with my best friend melanie, and cannot wait! I think girls tend to travel together more than guys. Especially when there are just 2 of you. I could see a group of guys going no prob, but i don't think i have read one report on here where it is just 2 guys. 95% of people going seem to be couple's though. Melanie, and i are always joking around calling it our romantic honeymoon in Playa

Just thinking back to vagabond's ( ) posts, one could uncharitably conclude that a guy on his own in Playa is focused on getting laid. Which, in some circles may indeed become a social event, but is more normally a one-on-one kinda thing. I think women on their own would tend to be more socially-oriented than a guy on his own would be. More focus is put on the overall vacation experience, and meeting other people (safety in numbers, etc.) I think of our Andrea as a shining example of this. You go, girl! I know we at playa love our guys who are the exception to this rule. I think of BigDave and Kinz, Paul from England ... I'm sure there are others. |

There were several (apparently) single guys at Peepfest this year:
bgfangs SCR Scottyb LF1's twin brother, JP, (Linda's friend 1, if you followed any of that story) Bob-ster (or something like that and I think he's single as he's rooming with JimmyMN who seems to consider himself somewhat single too) ElDangeroso (I think he's single too) Maybe more, or maybe I'm wrong about some of the above. And I haven't counted up the single women. I do think single women are more apt to seek out the group for comfort... or for that matter, to even travel alone, especially when they know there's a built-in social safety net waiting there for them. |

Not saying that there are NO single guys at all but it just came to my mind that there are always more women than men. Just wondering. But you might be right that women (either alone or even travelling in 2 or a group) do have more fun in groups and a social network.
@MWC and redhairgirl!: thanks for your kind comments. |

I know why! At least in my husbands situation: HE needs a woman to PLAN everything. Therefore, single or not, he would never leave our small town if it weren't for ME making all the plans.
Most guys need their lives organized and planned out by a female...is this not true?? |
