Finally tried some Centenario
Went to a friends house yesterday for a party stopped by the liquor store and saw a bottle of Centenario Reposado not to bad of a price so tried it. If the Anejo is better it must be as good as 1942 because this stuff was great. I did tell the host (a very good friend turning into but not a great tequila lover) we can drink as much as we want but when I leave if there is any left I'm taking it home. Well we drank about half and had a great time. IRLFAN another peep on this site helped with the consumption maybe he'll let you know what he thought.

Thanks. I seem to remember reading that it was around 22 bucks. Jan wants to check out the Playa Sams Club so that might be a good time to pick up a couple of bottles to take home.

My tipple of choice is Don Julio reposado, though I'd say the Centenario anejo is comparable. I think the Don Julio 1942 is even better than either of those, but not so much so that it justifies the premium. But then, I'm a peasant.
