Our Fresh Catch Cooked Up
We went fishing last week using the boats just south of the new pier that is not being used . Here is a photo of our take(just some of it) that the restaurant, Parisio Beach Club I believe , cooked up for us. Barracuda and Ocean Trigger . Awesome meal.

very nice kinda wanted to charter a boat . I love to fish but the pepole going with me dont. How many pepole do you have to have to charter a boat there? And about what is the going rate for a half days fishing? Did you make reservations in advance or i heard you can just go find someone sitting by there boat and they will take you.

You can pre-book or just show up like we did. It cost us $160 for 4 hours in a panga . Just make sure they have enough live bait. We caught 3 barracude but lost at least 6 , then we were out of bait. It was a blast.

thanks for the reply so do you have to have a certain # of pepole? im use to fishing in illinois bass, crappie ,walleye, bluegills, and cat. Baracuda or somthing like that would be really cool. I heard marlin and other billed fish run around the playa area you didnt get to see anyone with one of them? Now that would be a catch !!

My friends went fishing while in Playa the first week in February and they caught baracude and red snapper. They went out in Eddie's boat and paid about 180.00 for 4 ppl - this included snacks and beer and soda. They took the fish to a restaurant where a friend of Eddie's is the chef and what my friend Karen said was that the fish was so f*****g good that she could have eatin' it until she puked. I think our boys will go fishing when we are there in November.

Rick Bayless hosted his show One Plate At A Time in Playa not to long ago. He went through the whole process of catching, fileting, and eating fresh ceviche. Yum! Was it at the same place? Does anyone know? Just curious.
