Think I bought a stolen camera
Got a couple Canon A520's on Ebay as recommended by the fine ppl here on Playa.info. Both came with memory cards, one blank, one with 10 pictures still on it, they're of some kids at a camp fire, some pics of kids playaing soccer.
If you were selling your camera, wouldn't you remove your pics from the card? I bought it from a pawn shop through Ebay, located on Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Why would someone pawn off their camera and leave pics on it. Someone took my camera and pictures, I sure would like them back, I figured these ppl would like their kid's pics back too. Should I post the pics, maybe someone from SC can link them down there somehow? Am I just trying to churn butter with a toothpick here? |

I figured it was stolen being at a pawn shop with pics still in it. I would make sure no one got my pics if I sold my camera or pawned it.
Being from a pwn shop, you know, lots of missing stuff ends up at the pawn shop. |

If it came from a pawn shop then the person who sold it possibly forgot to remove there own photos. I agree the others it is yours.
If you really want to you could go back to Canon and see the original owners registered the camera, you might be able to get in contact with them that way. Or give it to Kellyk for her next trip report!!!!! I would have loved to see the pictures that went along with her report. |

I don't know about SC, but in Wisconsin when a pawn shop takes in an item on pawn, they are required by law to fill out a from on each and every item, who pawned it, etc. and provide a copy to local law enforcement. Maybe you can contact the pawn shop, and see if they can contact who pawned it regarding the pics?
