Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar need advice!!!!!
My girlfriend and I (both age in mid 20s) are staying at the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar May 3rd through the 10th of this year. We are both first timers to this area and would be very grateful for any advise.
During our stay we would like to go on a snorkeling trip. Any suggestions where to go or who we should go through? We would also like to spend one of our days in Cozumel swimming with the dolphins. Any suggestions where to go or who we should go through? Also we would like to travel to the clubs in Cancun a couple nights (I heard the night life in our area is kind of dull). Can we take a taxi to do this? How far is Cancun down town from our hotel? Any other tips would be great also! We thank you in advance very much for any information you can help with. [/siz] |

RE: Paraiso Del Mar
Hola-
You really don't need to go to Coz to swim with the dolphins-there are a lot of places in the PDC area. If you do choose Cozumel, you can go to Parque Chankanaab-get there early to make your reservation, then take a scooter and ride around the island. Once you head out of town and get to the beach on the other side, it's practically deserted! There are little bars and restaurants scattered along the coast and it is beautiful. I can't respond to the nightlife in Cancun, but do go in town (PDC) it's fun! Have an excellent time! Sherry |

OOPS! forgot to add something
Hi again-
You can snorkel all over PDC and Cozumel- go to Yalku lagoon in Akumal. I did not see the variety of fish I had hoped for, but the setting is surreal! It looks like a scene from a movie. MOST important piece of advice- RENT A CAR!!! Go everywhere-the people and scenery are divine. Snorkel in a cenote! You will have a blast. Adios. Oh, by the way, I did see one hell of a big toothy barracuda at Yalku-YIPES |

Snorkling near Iberostar Paraiso
Do yourself a favor, and just go north a couple of miles to the town of Puerto Morelos. My son and I went there and it was great. I have snorkeled in several areas in region and this has one of the best reefs. You can take a small tour boat about 1/4 mile off-shore. I remember it being very reasonable, and it's virtualy just up the road from Ibeostar. Great resort!!!
