I'm Irish...paternal gramma was from Ireland (and didn't mix well with my Queen-loving maternal grams from Britain
) That's why I named my daughter Kelsey, for her (means "Warrior" in Irish gaelic).Irish gramma had funny sayings. "He's so low he's knee-high to a grasshopper" (grasshopper said with a contemptuously long roll of the r) and "May you be in heaven a half an hour before the devil know's you're dead"...doesn't seem so endearing any more...

By the by, I went to a course put on by the government liquor commission yesterday evening on "Enjoying Single Malt Scotch". Tried 12 different brands. I have about a dozen single malts in my bar, but some of these were ones I've never had. Some winners, and some losers, but all worth a try. Funny, but I found the $80 - $100 stuff amongst my least favourites. Guess I'm just a peasant at heart. And to get things back on track..."An Irishman is never drunk, as long as he can reach out and grasp a blade of grass, to keep from falling off the face of the earth."
