Loree's brief Trip Report, mostly pictures 2.22.07 to 3.8.07
![]() Day one We wake up at 4 AM to arrive at the airport at 5:30 AM. I had snuggled Izzy all night and just hated to get out of bed since she was in it with me. Michael was ready and oh so polite at that hour. He loaded up all the luggage and even heated up the car. I stepped out of the car and changed from my boots to my flip flops. Could not wait for Playa, my feet were freezing instantly. Izzy cried so hard when Michael pulled away from the curb, Brandie and I went inside, got in the USA3000 line and cried, too. We felt so bad leaving her, we knew we had to buy her lotsa stuff to make up for it. No problem whatsoever! We arrive in Playa after a great flight on USA3000. This was my first time on their airline and I was impressed with the service. We first received a choice of juice when the attendants came around with a juice bar. They cleaned that up and came around with your choice of breakfast sandwich, a sausage biscuit or a ham and cheese croissant. With it, came a side of fresh fruit. After they cleaned up that, they came around with the dessert portion which was a lemon cookie to die for. I had tea with that. I wanted to ask for seconds, but knew Brandie would yell at me. Arrive and get our luggage in record time, get the green light and we are off to the ADO line, but get a better idea. We decided to get private transfer and wait too long for that, so we get a taxi which we shared with an attorney from Mexico City. He was good looking and he had 2 cell phones which rang constantly. We arrive at Posada Freud and our room is not ready yet, so we go next door to get a drink and along came Susie Q Roo and Rick. I had muled a couple of things down for them and it was so nice to finally meet Rick. He really is so sweet in person. I met Susie last year and already knew how precious she was. They left and shortly after that, our room was ready. We promptly changed into our beach attire and headed to El Pirata. Here are some pictures of the room we had at Posada Freud and the little dog, too! It was room #3, right next to StewartGand KelliG. What great neighbors they were, too. They would drop their wet clothes on their balcony and walk into their room nekkid. Stewart had asked in advance if this bothered me and I told him no. Ha ha , just kidding.........I never saw them nekkid. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Day One, cont.....
After laying in the sunshine for a few hours, we went back to the room to get a shower and walk 5th for a while. This was also the night of the Luna Blue Burger Bash, so I was excited to meet a bunch of new peeps and deliver all the stuff I had muled down so I didn't have to haul it to the Hotel Eclipse. I did take a few pictures at the Burger Bash, but not many I can post....... Here are the ones I can........... ![]() ...this one was taken at Posada Freud after the Burger BashNot much sleep was had the night before, so an early night was had by me ![]() I just want to add something here............ Cheri and Tony are such gracious hosts and opened up their hotel to all of us as if it was ours and they had incredible food and drink and the shirts are awesome, too. They are such a giving and loving couple, I for one, want them to know how much their hospitality meant to me. We didn't stay at their hotel, so no money was to be made from a lot of us, but we were all treated the same......... They are awesome and because of their generousity, I will look into staying at Luna Blue next time I go to Playa. Thank you Toni and Cheri!!! Last edited by Loree; 03-12-2007 at 09:03 PM. Chuck arrived on the 1st of March about 5 hours after his scheduled arrival
He missed his flight on USA3000 and had to buy a one way ticket on USAir for $342. No, I was not surprised at all. This is the same man who runs out of gas constantly, twice in one day recently. We were so busy having fun that I forgot to take pictures for a few days, but the next fun thing was our fishing trip. This was arranged by a bartender we met at Schlongo's, the new awesome deli located 2 doors down from Hotel Eclipse..... Then he got Montezuma's Revenge.......................(still has it) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() catching 2 red snapper at a time ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is the one he is the most proud of........ ![]() ![]() We took the big barracuda to a restaurant on 10th, the Tiger, and they cooked it to perfection......... ![]() ![]()
