BTW, Welcome Shawn. I'm a single father myself, but in 2 trips to Playa, I have yet to bring the kids. I'll probably do it eventually, but as long as I can manage to get there without them for now, I will. As for things to do, you might also want to look into a Discover Scuba course for you and/or them.

Is there an age limit for the zip line tour? (My daughter is 11, and wants to go really, really bad...)

Sorry, I think you have to be at least 12. But maybe someone will chime in and let you know if you can get around the age requirement. How close is she to 12?

And of course they're going to check her ID, right? My 11-yr-old has been on quite a few "12-or-older" rides/events and no one has ever turned him/us away.

Will will be there in May, and she will be 12 in August. I hope that it is close enough. Could I just say that she is 12? It's not like they will ask to see her birth certificate, right?

True, but if you have to sign a waiver of liability there might be something on the form which requires you to put an age on it. I don't know. Haven't done it so I'm just trying to cover the bases.

It is more a matter of size than age, but even if she is too light they will let her do it tandem with a guide or you

If your kids are anything like my son they will fall in love with Playa. He was 14 when I first took him and now he thinks the only place to take a vacation is in Playa. I was lucky and he found some kids his age to hang out with and they kept each other entertained, that left mom some time to enjoy the adults there. I went to a couple of peep meets as a single and it was a lot of fun. Have fun!

Welcome to the board. By definition, you are now a "Peep". See how easy that was?! Your teens will love it. Playa is safe for them to walk around all day. 5th Avenue is very safe at night, and the people watching is amazing. If you are still in Playa on the 8th, there is a small "Peep Meet" at the Beer Bucket that evening. The kids can hang out there with no problem, too....... Cheers, Doc

peep meet on the 8th

My flight leaves on the 2nd...... but, I may not be able to tear myself away from the place. So... There is a slight possiblity of me being there on the 8th.
