Howdy from Vegas

So I have to admit to lurking for a couple of weeks! I've been reading and digesting all the little bits of information I can. I have to say this forum is pretty amazing - everyone is so nice and helpful. I've come to love the trip reports with all their pictures and will be posting my own as soon as I get back. Gratefully, I'm leaving in 14 days to head down for a week! My wife-to-be and I will be staying at Secrets Capri from March 31st to April 6th for our honeymoon - our first trip down south. I took the tips and also booked a playa.info tour for Tulum and Beyond for the 3rd.

Thanks to everyone for all the great info and I'm sure I'll be asking some questions before we go!

Thanks Holster. If I can help at all with providing info on Vegas - let me know. I've lived here a long time (by Vegas standards!) and enjoy the town.

Sweet, we went in Sept. and Hubby was "denied entry" had to leave him at the Calgary airport, we have applied for his waiver, nothing major just the usual teenage crap, but enough that after the UK bomb scare the US clenched her mighty butt cheeks and would not let him (and many others that day) in!! No hard feelings, makes for a good story, the same thing happened to his brother a few years earlier!! Guess they should have had better parental supervision, maybe we can have a Vegas Peep meet!!

Wow... I don't think I've ever heard of anyone from our northern neighbors being denied into the US. Very odd.

Definately up for a "Vegas" peeps meet. PM me when you are headed down and we can arrange something.

Welcome Zap. Our son and a couple of his friends will be in Vegas for the Champ Car weekend 4/6-8. Looks like you'll be back by then. Planning on taking the race in? Should be awsome. I'd be going as well but we're in Playa and we can't be two places at once. Vegas and Long Beach back to back weekends would have made a great trip if it wouldn't have been during our time in Playa.

I just met Fausto.. I was eating solo at Carboncitos and he was at Cielo next to me. Nice guy.
Ended up dining w/ a man from NY city and he was staying at Cielo, said the rooms are great and liked the prices too.
