Hi from just south of you, (Omaha Ne). We just got back last week and I miss it already! You might check out the "Fat Cat" or "Catamaya" snorkel tours, we have done both, Fat Cat has pretty good rum drinks, but the grilled lobster lunch on the Catamaya was hard to beat. Have fun!!!!

Jump on the "Any other Playa bums in early April", it's on the Peep Stuff Folder. When you get a chance read up on the different events. I hope you will meet up with all of us at one of the parties.

Hi Sioux Fan!!
Can you even believe that goal against the Gophers on Saturday night, what was that all about?? Can't even call that a goal, can you??? the real tournament is coming, watch out you bucked tooth varmints. We are heading to Playa on the 5th for our 4th visit, truly Playa junkies!! brining the 3 hockey players this time... should be interesting... What to drink in Playa.. our philosphy is since we can't drink the water, start the day by taking your vitamins with beer, and move on to margaritas, and rum!!! Vacation is short--Enjoy! |

Oh, I thought you said what to "drink" in Playa.. tells you were my mind is at..
what to do?? we have done the snorkeling at Akumal, Xel-ha, Snorkeling in Cozumel, deep sea fishing, but all in all, we really like to spend time on the beach. One day trip is enough for us, and the rest is just relaxing. Lots of tours to jump on, depends on what your interests are.... This site is great to get info, just keep digging, I very rarely respond, just read and search and read and search.. just had to respond to a fellow Sioux fan... |

Sounds like you want something more from your vacation than the usual... Well, you are going to a great place that has many hidden gems! Start by googling "Yucatan Peninsula" and you will quickly see that you have jungle, the Mayan Civilization both ancient and current, you have cenotes, you have villages and towns that are inhabited by Mayans and Mexicans, you have incredible food and artistry. Every topic that I have mentioned will bring you a lifetime of joy in discovery. These are just some of the reasons why the Yucatan beats all other tourist destinations in Mexico.
OK, so now you might be saying, well how do I go about visiting the Mayan ruins at Tulum or go tromping around in the jungle or swimming in a cenote or climbing to the top of Coba or visiting the magical city of Merida? Where do I go for the best Cochinita Pibil or barbacoa? This web site should have most of your answers right at your fingertips. IMO, if you are a responsible driver, renting a car provides the most freedom and is a great way to go. Otherwise, go on a tour with James and Anna! |
