In Stogey's defense, this could be relevant to earth. I read recently that the ice cover on Mars is going through a 7-year melting cycle, which is now reaching its peak.

So it is conceivable that its dramatic warming is fueled mostly by solar phenomenon. As might earth's.

I don't even remember posting on that thread; but wasn't it clever?

Just watched Al Gore in front of Congress. He tried to filibuster anyone who actually asked a difficult question. I guess he still thinks he is a Senator.

One might get the impression reading those responses, that some of us don't take the poor man too seriously!

But seriously....solar activity (flares and waves of protons from the sun) is increasing.

This is really an interesting article...about doomsday predictions and the 'end of days' Mayan calendar prediction (December 21, 2012, if you're interested )...it even talks about the Yellowstone supervolcano!

Hey after driving the last two days with only 8 hours sleep and now I'm on my fifth beer. Believe me they'res nothing to worry about. Unless I get on the road tonight that is.
