We stayed at Fishermen's Village in May 2001 for our first and so far only trip to PDC. At that time you could opt out on the AI. We opted out and would recommend you to opt out if you can!!!!! There are too many great places to eat in the area to waste time at the resort resturant. As I understand it, the MANDITORY AI doesn't take effect until Jan 2002. Then, it includes breakfast and either lunch or dinner for $29.50/person/day. Sorry but that's a rip!
As far as the resort, it was great. Rooms were nice, beach and pool are uncrowded and beautiful, close to town, staff was nice, view is spectacular, and room service breakfast on the balcony was wonderful. Still opt out if you can! I would go back there in a heartbeat but my wife and I are not the AI type. We do our own thing so we don't know much about the resort activities. We were too busy exploring! Rent a car and see the area. Dive right in. PDC is great and we plan on going back. Email me if you have more questions, I'll be glad to help. |
