OMG, that is awful! I can so understand why his feelings would be hurt. I would be ticked too!

Now, I know there are conflicts sometimes, but couldn't they have called to let you know they weren't coming....bad manners!!

Oh my, that makes me just cry. I can never stand for kids to get their feelings hurt. It just hurts my heart. I hope he was able to have a good time anyway. Wish him a happy birthday for me. From me and Riley G!!

Thanks everyone!
I decided to avoid the alcohol route & instead gave in to handling stress by doing a doughnut & iced cap run.....Dad called my cell. He is home...has an IV in his arm & has to go to emerg everyday this week for Antibiotics to be put through the IV. On Thurs he will see the Specialist here & they will xray the leg & try to figure out what is happenning. Physio is cancelled for now. Its so weird because at the time of the accident the leg was the least of our worries vs the trauma to lungs, kidneys, liver, pelvisetc...now everything else is healed...Almost makes us think it would have been better to have the leg amputated at the time....
Anyway my tummy is full now. I feel better.

Good to see I'm not the only one that uses food to relieve stress.

He just spilled a candle all over the sink and came out and said "This weekend hates me Mom!" I said why? And he told me!

I told him it was a cheap candle and when it get cold it will just pop right off the counter!

John got out the crossbow and bow and arrow and they shot beer cans in the backyard! That helped! Plus he counted all his gift cards!

He say's Thanks Char!

Oh that is just awful! I feel so sad for him...

I would have come! I would have brought the kids & a HUGE present! Tell Shane not to worry I bet all those kids don't get to hang out at the beach in June!!

Umm yah you have no idea how bad I am.......With huge stress (like Dads accident) I didnt eat to the point of fainting (about 4 days) then I could not get enough. I have many many many many food issues & eating when I am stressed is just one in a LONNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG line!

Glad to hear he is home. Sending lots of good thoughts your way! Donuts are a good comfort food! Have any left?! I am avoiding the chocolate cupcakes that are on the table!
