Hola Peeps!

Just thought I'd pop by and say 'hola'.... and update y'all on Blondie's extended Peepfest

All is still well. Still having an amazing time and the realization that I must go home eventually is starting to kick in.

Going golfing tomorrow at Playacar. Going with three other 'golf-nuts', so everyone is completely excited about playing a round. Went out to Playacar yesterday and checked out the course, rentals, etc. Rentals are all decent sticks~ Mizunos, Titleist, Callaway X18s and a few Big Berthas ....also saw a couple sets of TM RACS as well. (No blades... but that isn't a concern for me anyway

) . Will take lots of photos at the course for the other golf nuts on here.

Gave my rental Jeep back tonight... Gosh is it ever fun driving in Mexico! Was so nervous at first and now I feel like a pro! Was really nice to have wheels for a short while as well. Went to Tulum a handful of times and just hung out on the beach there... including this past Monday ~which was a holiday here. Went to Cancun one afternoon and another evening to visit friends. Otherwise just went here and there and really enjoyed being able to drive to wherever we wanted to go.

Moving to Mosquito Blue tomorrow until the day I leave. Hate having to 'pack up' and move around, but it IS nice having the opportunity to check out various spots to stay in Playa.

Flight home is booked for March 28

Have had the chance to eat at some great spots the past couple weeks... some places that had been suggested via this forum... Some I had been to earlier in my stay, others were my first time~ La Pesca, Carboncitos, El Fogon, Yaxche, Mezzanine, El Oasis for Shrimp Tacos (almost every other day

)... Some absolutely great meals for sure!

Not sure if this place has been recommended or not... If you are ever just chilling in your hotel or at home in Playa and wish to get some take out food delivered... Can I please recommend SUSHI KEN! Wow! Absolutely delicious! Had it a couple nights last week and was craving it again on Monday. Called to make my order and was devastated to find that they were closed for the national holiday (

)... gave Sushi Itto a try and it was actually great too... (but I have to admit that Ken is just a bit better!)

Have had some quiet nights in the past few nights, so I am headed out for the evening... likely the usual rounds... Basico, Deseo, El Cielo, Diabilto, and of course La Santanerra...

That is about it...

Hope EVERYONE is doing fabulously!

Will post photos once I get back home.

Okay because there was a rumor on another thread that El Oasis was not serving shrimp tacos anymore.........so help me out and say its not so

IT'S NOT SO!!!

I actually JUST read that now about El Oasis.... No, not true. I had shrimp tacos there yesterday at around 4:00pm (and Hugo had fish tacos)...

Maybe they were simply out of them the day the poster was there~?

I am SOOOO envious of your extended stay in Playa.....but very happy that you are able to stay this long! Enjoy!!!

Taunya, have a great time on the course. I, for one, would love to hear about your day. Like you, I can never imagine taking my clubs with me to Playa, but can imagine playing with some rentals especially the quality you mention. Even with the new TSA regulations, our next trip this summer will be with a carry on only for each of us. HAVE FUN!!!

Glad to hear you are having such a great time Taunya. I can't believe you are still there!!! If feels like forever since we left. Enjoy every minute of the rest of your trip. If you could hang around another 5 weeks, we'll be back.
