Snorkeling near Iberostar Paraiso

There is a posting from "Ero" on April 2 mentioning a nice place to snorkel north of Iberostar Paraiso.

Can you provide more details? What is the name of the company that sponsored the snorkel excursion? Is there information about this trip on the internet? Is there a bus from Iberostar to Puerto Morelos, or is a taxi ride affordable? Can we sign up for the snorkel trip from one of the trip planners at Iberostar? How much did the snorkel trip cost and for how long is the excursion?

Our family has donee quite a few snorkeling trips, one being Puerto Morelos.We found it to be our worst snorkeling trip.It may have just been the tour group we booked with, but it stunk. We didn't see all that much. They took us to two sites, one was so shallow (and you not supposed to touch the reef)that you spent the whole time watching yourself and not the reef. The second location was so deep that it was very hard to see anything, reef or fish.It could still be worth a try , but one of our best snorkeling trips as far as seeing things was with AQUA WORLD in cancun. We did the day trip to Isla Mujeres and saw a ton of fisgh, lobsters, starfish,octopuses, rays etc..Just my opinion though. Try booking something through IB*P, the resorts usually have good packages.
