no, none in those pics... here she is at the bridal shower during the toilet paper game that Ashley's mother in law has never forgiven me for

ha... I just looked closer at that pic... it's not very flattering, is it??

I took Kelsey to a dance convention in Vancouver this weekend. Basically she takes master classes all day Sat and Sun from professional choreographers, lessons in Jazz, Street jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap, and salsa. One of the teachers choreographed Justin Timberlakes latest video, one was Gustavo Vargas from Dancing with the STars, and another was Tyce Diorio from So You Think You Can Dance, so Kelsey and all her friends were very excited!

We got a hotel room at the Fairmont Waterfront for Saturday night so we wouldn't have to make the one hour drive home only to return for 8am again the next morning. It is a beautiful hotel and the room was fantastic with fantastic views. They let us check in at 7:00am Sat. morning, and we didn't have to check out until 3pm on Sunday.

A view across the street of our hotel:

and turning around looking at our hotel:

The view of the city from our room:

We weren't allowed to take photos at the convention, so my camera mostly stayed in the room.

On Sat. it ended at 3:30 and we walked back to the hotel and went down to the jacuzzi and steam room. Kelsey met me back in the room and I went to grab us a few sodas. When I got there I found her gazing out at the lights coming on in the city as the city grew dark:

Then when I turned around next I caught her in this photo, and I wish I had taken more time with it to move things out of reflection points, etc. darnit.

We got fancied up and went out for a nice dinner and did a bit of shopping down Robson st. Then we stopped for a cappaccino and some chocolate on the way home. The view of the city lights from our room at night was amazing!

We slept with the blinds fully open because we both thought it was so beautiful with all the city lights.

It was a great weekend, I had a lot of fun just walking around the city, it really makes me want to move there. I just love all the hustle and bustle, ya' know? (but I'm sure I'd grow to hate it if I lived there too! )

Leasa...from a wannabe photographer to a true professional...both of these pics are classics!

Yikes! It was a beautiful weekend to walk around the city...just cool and crisp enough to need light gloves and a scarf, but not too cold that you couldn't spend some time walking about. And no rain!

Oh, and the Santa Claus Day Parade was on sunday too!

I LIKE the surreal, ghostly reflection points contrasted against the sharpness of the main subject!

(In fact, I might try to make it even MORE so in post-processing.)

Very cool pic snowman!

Dinner the other night with some very good lady-friends who both had new man-friends with them. We met these ladies in the airport in Charlotte on the way to Costa Rica for vacation a few years ago..we had a great time there with them and they became great friends.

Three ladies and a Baptist minister were on their way to Costa Rica for vacation....one lady divorced (that's Betty on the right), another recently widowed (the other Betty, not in the picture) and the married couple Nancy (on the left) and Al....wonderful people all...Al passed away unexpectedly last year from cancer...its nice to see Nancy and Betty happy again.

Here is a picture from Thanksgiving.

My older son Max on the left, my very bestest girlfriend (who I'm dragging to Playa in March), me and her son Matthew.

Hey..........is that a martini in front of my underage son??
He's still got 9 months to go to be 21.

Nice photo, you are such a beautiful lady, Silvergirl! Your smile is contagious. Your son looks a lot like you!

BTW, if you lived up here, he'd have had that martini 2 years ago! (legal age is 19 here)

Silvergirl, I can't BELIEVE you have a son who is 20! You look like a kid yourself!

Here are some photos of last night. It was Libby's birthday and what a fun time it was. I hope it's ok to post them, I didn't ask her.
