with curly hair that unfortunately turns to a frizzball the instant I step foot in Mexico.....I wear a straw cowboy hat or a baseball hat most days and put conditioner in it to weigh it down. Do-rags look silly on me so I never wear them.

I love that word) to make it look worth a crap. I slap on a do-rag mostly to protect my poor scalp that always gets FRIED!

It's very rare to find a pic of me in Mexico without a bandana on my mop! Short or long my hair is enormoussssss - hats fear my hair
![]() I've got bandanas in every which color (if I need shade I throw a visor over them), a pile of scarves and these great headbands that you can pick up at pretty much any vendor on 5th (definitely at the market at the corner of 5th and Constituyentes) - the only way to describe them is that they look like a headband but telescope back over your hair and covers pretty much the whole head. they come in nice colors too. I am dreading what my hair is going to look like when I go in August since it is naturally wavy but I flat iron it now everyday. I guess I will have to find a style to go with the waves because it will not be straight! |

OMG..I have a peanut head too!!!! I thought i was the only one!!
The locals laugh when I buy my hats and they've now come to know me as seniorita peanut-head! Ya..funny! NOT. Anyway...there ARE hats in Playa that are smaller....ya just gotta hunt for them. My avatar is my new hat I got at peepfest. It fits good and best thing is...too small for my daughter to wear it! yippee! Quote:

Normally I straighten it here at home but on vacation I leave the straightening iron and the hairdryer at home and just bring a tub each of leave-in conditioner and silicone. |
