Will try again........I wasn't even able to get to the CC info.....and I know my card is good! (really, it is!)

I have just read this post and am sorry to hear about the young ladies car accident. I work for an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon and I see lots of patients with Pelvic injuries. It does take some time to heal. They just need the love and support from their friends and family members and of course good surgeons. I would love to donate some money or if anyone decides to do a fund raiser I will be glad to purchase something, t-shirts, hats, etc.... We will be down in May and I know they will not be back on their feet by then but if any type of activity gets planned for around then and we are there we would love to attend and help out.

Hopefully that worked. Linda and I must share a brain because I couldn't do it the first time either.

Updated on $ raised for Alex & Mayte

So far, through the generous donations of people on this and another forum, we've raised $1210 for the girls expenses. These are just the contributions that have come in via the website in the past few days! Hopefully Paypal will be up and running sometime tomorrow and we'll have an additional way to donate.

Thanks so much to everyone who has donated and will continue to do so.

I'll send some money when the Paypal account is up tomorrow. I love the idea of t-shirts as well, though perhaps the margins aren't large enough to make real money? Still, I'd buy one.

That's awesome!

Haven't had the privilege of meeting these two girls but hope to in the future...
Prayers and wishes for the speediest of recoveries and a little something to help out via the reservations page from me and Roy.

Either way, the money will be immediately turned over to the sisters to help with their medical expenses.

Please help these awesome girls during this tough time.
i just sent in a donation through the reservations page to help out some with the girls. i hope they get the care and help they need.

one of my good friend's 16 year old son flipped his car 6 times on Friday night. he is in ICU with his pelvic broken in two places, a few broke ribs, back broke in the neck and lower area. no paralysis, thank goodness. just a long long way to recovery. my prayers go out to Alex and Mayte. little Tag could use thoughts and prayers too.

T-Shirts?

How unique would a "Bloody Chicas - Keith's Bar, Playa del Carmen" logo be? It could even have Heather's photo on it!

Unfortunately, I am aware of the difficulties and risks of "charity" shirts.

I am finally getting my own lower back surgery in May (so that I can venture further than Mom's swiming pool!) and am looking forward to rejoining everyone when Keith re-opens(?) Tom Lee may no longer be required to carry me to the Beer Bucket (but maybe "from?")
