Massachusetts Peep meet possibility?

Hi all,
We live in PA but travel to Mass every Memorial Day weekend to spend time at our Westport, Mass house. Anyone interested in a Mass, New England, Rhode Island, Conn, etc peep meet near Westport Mass or Newport, RI or close to either? I saw some old threads that there have been some Massachusetts peep meets near Boston and not sure if anyone is willing to venture farther south. Anyone around that area that weekend?

Mass Peep Meet , Sunday May 27th. At Ixtapa in North Dartmouth, MA 6:00 PM - Dinner, drinks, and good times
Marty and I
Kim & Kenny
Eileen & Commando
Nerak & David
John (Ranger) and Cheryl
and possibly more...

I'm not missing anyone, am I?

What were you thinking of in terms of a meeting spot? Beach? Bar? both? Day, night?

Man, my sister lives in Easthampton (and will be moving to Connecticut soon)...........but I don't think we'll be making a trip to Massachusetts this Memorial Day. Nuts.

Memorial day...that's sept. right?? (We celebrate labor day) Anyway....I may still be in the area. I have to take my daughter to college end of August, sometime. How far are you from Worcester? That is where she will be going to school. I can be a massachusetts peep for a change.

We were thinking bar or restuarant for sure. How far are you from that area?

yes, I am close to Pittsburgh
approx. 45 minutes north of the city.
my youngest daughter lives in Shadyside and is attending nursing school there, so I get to the city often
my BF and I go to Lancaster every couple of years to the antique shops
we just love it there

we should do a PM in Pa sometime

This sounds great to us!! How 'bout a nice Mexican Restaurant??

We actually went to one that was pretty good last week. Seemed family owned......not a chain and had killer margaritas. Only a small "hole in the wall" place though. Not much to look at, but the staff was great. I could call and see if they do parties?? Or there is always Ixtapa Restaurant in North Dartmouth. Haven't been there yet. Or Sam Diego's which is a chain and located in Hyannis (Cape Cod) probably a bit far for people.

We're north of that area, close to the NH border, so we don't know too many places in the area you mention (Westport, Newport, etc.) But we'd be willing to travel some. Let's see what Nerak knows about that area. She's somewhat north of there in Weymouth too.

Just checked the calendar, and David is off that weekend, so if/when something is set up, we'll certainly try to be there!!

Excellent Karen! Will be great to see you and David! Any ideas on where to meet up? Palms7 is thinking someplace local to their Westport, MA place. I'm thinking the place in North Dartmouth that silvergirl mentioned might work. Not exactly sure of the geography in that area.

I'm not familiar with the area, but David sure is. That's HIS stomping ground (he's in Fall River). We did go to Ixtapa last year (the Mexican restaurant that Silvergirl mentioned), and it was very good!

Right! I forgot about David being from Fall River. We spent many summers with Charlie's family in Mattapoisett, not far from there, so we know a little bit about the area. The other good thing about going there rather than a little closer to Newport or the Cape is that most places will be crowded on Memorial Day weekend--might be a little less crowded away from those more touristy areas. It would be fun to find a place with an outdoor deck or patio to eat/drink, if weather permits. (Yes, we're expecting a 8 inches of snow this week, but it's gotta stop sometime, right?

)
