Hotel Recommendation with Infant

My wife and I are looking for a hotel for 2 nights in late April (24th/25th) We are bringing our well behaved 17 month old daughter, but I am noticing many of the ones I am interested in don't allow young children. That's certainly their right, but its just making it difficult for me.
Any recommendations on a small place near the beach with a pool (doesnt need to be big) that is close to 5th avenue? We have been to playa twice before (2002/2003) and stayed at Porto Real. I want to get a much more personal experience

Have you tried Playa Maya or the Fusion? Both are on the beach and there were kids when we stayed there, the Playa Maya has a pool too.

Yea, I emailed Playa Maya this morning...no response yet. Hoping I snagged those before someone else.

I am staying at Porto Playa in November, they have two pool and one that may be great for the little one. I know they will take kids, we are bringing our 7 and 9 year old. But Playa Maya is a good choice the pool isn't too big and you have the beach.

just got back from 2 weeks at shangri la caribe - with a 3 yr old and 5 yr old - perfect for kids, the staff are amazing with them - the food is incredible, pools excellent and beach wonderful - the security even managed to find my daughter who disappeared at 4.30 in the morning with jetlag - can't fault the place.!!
