New Iberostar Grand vs. RPDC

Thinking of a trip before the summer starts. Would love to try the new Iberostar Grand. We know we already love the Royal PDC, but would like to try the Grand to decide on where we would like to go for Christmas. Kind of like a research project. If only we could write it off!!! We have stayed at the Lindo for two weeks about three years ago and loved the place. Any thought?. Oh decisions, decisions.....

From the reviews I've been reading, it seems the IB Grand is the ultimate in service and pampering. Private butler service, indoor/outdoor heated pools, gourmet dining, etc.
You would have full use of the other IB Paraiso properties, but guests of the Lindo.etc. are not permitted at the Grand.

We've been thinking about the same thing. Although we also had Excellence thrown into the mix too. The reviews coming out of The Grand so far are outstanding. I think we're going to go with The Royal though. We're travelling with 2 other couples and they've never been to Playa before. Also the Royal was quite a bit more in our budget. Last year we stayed at Villas Sacbe and LOVED it. With 3 couples and one of them celebrating their 10th we kind of wanted a little more privacy. Good Luck! I know I'm excited to get to the Royal!
