Run on White Flags?
The leader of the Senate declared, yesterday, that we have lost the war. Someone should inform the troops of their failure and bring them home.
http://www.dailynews.com/news/ci_5709301 First, the shadow government visits a state responsible for the murders of hundreds of Americans, and now they have surrendered for the rest of us. Can the Democratic leadership sink any lower? Could they possibly be more irresponsible? I guess we shall see. General Patreus said there would be more violence at the beginning of the surge, as the insurgents tried to make a last stand to inflict as much damage as possible. So, why does Harry Reed see it as a sign of defeat? |

The leadership may have failed (or not), another six months will comprehensively show this, one way or the other to everyone regardless of personal political persuasion. |

The USA won the war.
It is losing the peace....errr....occupation. Our troops should depart forthwith and 70% of the country is smart enough to know that. In the meantime, Pelosi's poll numbers go up while the President's go down. There are reasons for that. |

What a complete tool.We running the country by poll now? Why elect anyone? Just let Gallup make the decision. It will be like an American Idol democracy.

, surely you mean Senator Reid We have never gotten an accurate description of the status of things in Iraq from the Republican leadership or the military leadership. I think Harry is far closer to the truth than George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld or Gates have ever been in their public statements. They have continuously misled the public, as demonstrated by intelligence reports that have been made public. Their credibility gap is so huge it would swallow LBJ's and have room left for several small countries. If they had not lied so much before and during the first 4 years of the war, they would probably be in better shape with the public now, but as things stand now, most of the public do believe or trust the Bush Administration. There are good reasons for that, all of them having to do with the behavior of the Bush Administration. |

Just pointing out that a majority of the people want this over and voted how they feel. I do support the troops - one of which is my nephew, a Green Beret thank you.
