All Inclusive in late January, 2008

We've never gone the AI route. Just wondering what a ballpark figure for 7 night's in Playa would be from MSP.

It is hard to predict what you will pay in January as gas prices will be a factor. Do you have an idea of which hotels you are interested in?

Which hotels

Is Porto Real available? Would like to be close to downtown. A two or hundred dollar variable in air doesn't matter. Just looking for a ballpark rate per person.

Are you talking about Royal Playa del Carmen? We are going there May of 2008.

I just pulled up a week in January, I think leaving on the 16th and the Royal didn't pop up as a choice but that doesn't mean there aren't rooms available. I did a random week in May of 2007 a few month or so ago to get a ballpark figure for that time of year and it was around $3,500 to $3,700 hundred from San Francisco for two. I'm just planning on a figure of $4,000 for the heck of it. You can get a better deal at the RIU resorts for sure and it is only a 5 minute cab ride into town. Shammy is the one who is up on prices but she will tell you that prices are variable. Which is correct.

how many people?
level of luxury?
anywhere from $3000 to $10,000 including air

you may want to call a travel agent
they can give you all the numbers you need

Ditto what Babs said - can't just spit out numbers as there are too many variables to quote a price off the top of one's head. What dates -early Jan, late Jan? Certain days of the week are more expensive to fly on. Airfares change often too, and of course the hotel and room category at that hotel will matter.

If you don't want to research prices on your own, then your best bet is to consult with a travel agent.
