We went right upstairs from the Jelly Fish bar cuz the beers were only $1, remember? I think it's on 8th St. between 5th and 10th, but I could be wrong. I wonder if it's still open...it was never very crowded when we went by in August.

it was recommended by a couple spending the winter at Casa Tucan when staying at paraiso azul (casa de gopala) the first time i visited playa which was april 2005. we walked through Casa Tucan and there it was. next trip we ate there almost daily, sometimes late lunch and late dinner in one day. i have never seen it advertised or mentioned on any playa sites....a shame...the food is authentic italian. the owner is from Bologna, Italy. His wife is from Argentina. he makes great pasta, especially lasagna, fish dishes and awesome pizza. look for it you won't be disappointed. very reasonable prices too!

Manny's Beirgarten
just got back from playa tuesday. visted manny's for 1st time. went every night once we found it. don't miss sunday "Prime Rib Night", awesome USA beef. Met Manny's Susie on the third night. what a wonderful lady. This is a great a great place to feel "at home" like at the local pub! They also speak good English if you aren't good with spanish it gives your mind a rest.
