walking from ADO bus station to Royal PDC

We're planning to take the bus from Cancun airport to PDC. Should we get a taxi from the bus station or can we easily walk with luggage to the Royal PDC?

taxi.

With luggage it would be a pretty good haul. You could easily do it, but with taxi rates in that zone around 12 pesos...I would think for for about $4 USD you would want to have someone place your luggage in the taxi...drive you up, help unload and you're there...

It's what we do when going to the Luna Blue on 26th. Roughly the same distance.

Thats a good question.... from one newbie to another! I've been wondering the same thing.....only I'll be staying at La Tortuga. Any idea how far from the Bus Station?

It isn't a long haul by any means, but I agree with Cuff, luggage and heat would make it work, and you are on vacation! Taxi is just so cheap and easy...save the sweating for the beach!

It would depend on how heavy you pack and if walking is easy for you. La Tortuga is about 6 blocks or so. Nice thing is that you do not have to decide until you arrive at the ADO station in Playa. You can just about look up the street to where la Tortuga is. Can't say how far it is to the Royal PDC, sorry. (My wife and I walked to the ADO from Playa Maya, no problem and we packed heavy.)

Take a ride with a triciclio! The 3-wheeled bikes line up right outside the bus station and you can start your vacation with an authentic Mexican ride. You will get a personalized tour right down 5th Avenue with advice on shops and restaurants. Be sure to agree on a price before loading up, remembering that a taxi would cost 12 pesos with no tip needed unless the driver handles a lot of luggage for you. 15-20 pesos about right.

Taxis are 14 pesos now in most of centro...and they charge a little more when you get them from a queue, like at the bus station or a grocery store.
