Sub Tropical Storm Andrea
Sub-Tropical Storm Andrea- Maintain level I - Normal Operations.
This was in my email box this morning at work w/ a 30 page attachment. We have a very detailed hurricane contigency plan at work since Rita and Katrina !! We are VERY VERY prepared (that is a good feeling btw) I have a feeling it is going to be a long long long summer !!! ![]() Last edited by TAPPY : 05-10-2007 at 03:16 PM. |

Not basing it on anything scientific, but this could be the year for the hurricance pattern cycle to hit the whole Eastern/Northeastern Atlantic seaboard. We had an odd winter/spring weather cycle, which has me thinking ...

My family has complained for years that New Orleans always gets all the attention from storms. After Katrina they barely metioned anything on the news about the devistation of Gulf Shore or Mobile. The title surge was higher than Camile. They are still cleaning up after Ivan the storm a year before Katrina. Glad you are prepared Tappy. I know we always had hurricane supplies in the house. I remember going through Camile and Fredrick. Scary.

I wish I could say I was better prepared. It is my work that is so prepared. I figure if one heads this way I will just throw the kiddo and the cats in the car and start driving (what a nightmare that would be) !!! I remember Camille to..... ![]() |

And BTW.... I heard a local meteorologist say that just because Andrea has happened earlier than normal, it doesn't necessarily mean it'll be an active hurricane season. But what the hell do they know??!! ![]() |
