and I havent even been to PDC yet, whats up with that ? I love the banter - the info - as you can see from my countdown I will be there soon, wwaahhooo - just over a week away -
I have received soo much info here, and have read soo much about Playa that I feel as though I have been there - maybe I wont look soo touristy .lol ...
So, I think it will be a trip to Akumal for the snorkeling

- so excited for that - though somehow I need to aleve my travel companions worries that it'll be ok to go off snorkeling / day tripping without being on a tour. they dont want to be on a tour either, but one person is waay nervous abouth leaving the AI. good luck to me.
so, thanks again for everything - mostly babaloo(?sp..sorry) for being soo vigilent(again ?sp) abouth that search function - makes for great reading

I am addicted too! Only a few more days for me. I can not WAIT!!!! These last few days are seeming like weeks. This forum is what helps me get through my workday. I peek at it every hour or so and it takes me to paradise for a few minutes.

I'll be doing my first trip this August -- Girl's Only Vacation

. This site has been AMAZING in gathering information of what to do and where to go.

It's been so much fun reading everyone's trip reports and seeing all the pictures. Can't wait until I'm writing my own trip report -- oh, maybe I can because that'll mean vacation's over

Hey, didn't I tell you this is a great forum?
You'll be much happier without a tour, believe me. No tour needed to go to Akumal. Start at Yal-ku early, BEFORE the tours get there. Once they arrive you and your travelling companions will be way psyched that you were not on one of the tours. Then, off to La Buena Vida and then to Akumal Bay- Lol-Ha or just the beach, and I guarantee your friends will be sold on YOU being the tour director. Even the one who is afraid to leave the AI!

Trust me.

I had to join the lovefest as well- we are going to PDC mid-June for the first time and this site has been a great daily fix as we prepare for our trip. Thanks to all for posting such great tidbits - I can't wait to sample all the great eats described, soak up the sun, and get soaked in the process.

My wife thinks I've become a little OCD about the site. I agree, theres always something to read about and almost always a reason to chime in and leave your two cents worth on a subject.
I've been to PDC twice and can't wait to make my third trip. Not sure when but I know it won't be soon enough!

It has been about 2 months since i booked our 2nd trip to playa this summer and everyday since then I have gone to the forum and looked at the webcam, I just can stop from viewing the site on a daily basis

i've gained a wealth of knowledge and i feel that i'm well-equipped for my first trip!

However, who is this Babaloo that you speak of? I must have missed his post. Such a shame, too, considering that you say he's been so helpful.
