Talking She's baaaaack!

Just when you thought the world was safe for the same old boring music again, the new Björk arrives!

Volta

Once again finding harmony and creating alchemy between seeming opposites, on Volta Björk is bold but thoughtful, delicate yet strong, accessible and avant . . . finds the perfect balance between the vibrancy of her poppier work in the '90s and her experiments in the 2000s.
I want it!

Good for Iceland, and her, and you!

I love her music. I don't know of anyone who's been more consistently inventive and interesting in popular music over the last decade or so.

So you like the album? Do tell!

I really like Björk and her music, she's a true icelander and is so inventive and different.
I have to say that I liked her very much when she was in the Sugarcubes before she started her solo carrear.. my dad was a fan and I found his cd's and started to listen to her.

I've actually not been so famous to buy the album yet, but I'm hoping I will this saturday.
I've listened to some songs off the album on myspace and also seen videos on youtube whe se held a concert here in iceland (I was in MX at the time) and from what i've heard it's great

The album gets great reviews here and all over the world. she hasn't sold as many albums here in iceland for a long time.. so I guess that says something.

She was here in NYC this past weekend, but I didn't get to see her. My friends did, and they loved the show and her music, but wonder...

...what's with the chicks dressed in saris with the flags coming up out of their heads? Apparently there were a lot of these on stage.

Sounds kooky -- I wish I'd caught her!

It's an icelandic band that plays with her on their tour... let me look up their name.. can't remember it..

edit: looked but I didnt find the name.. maybe i'll try tomorrow. But the string quartet girls are 10 and they are all icelandic. She also had Damien Rice play with her here in iceland.
If you look on youtube.com and type Björk concert you can find a clip from the NY concert.
