Which currency is best to use...US$ Dollars or Mexican Pesos??

Hello

I will be coming to Playa in just over 3 weeks time from the UK

and am a little confused over which currency is best to use......I've heard so many different stories.
I hear that you get further with your money if you use the US Dollar to pay for things e.g tipping, as I am staying at an all-inclusive, but just don't know what the locals actually prefer when you pay them for goods etc?? I would like to get all my spending money converted before i come into just one single currency to avoid confusion when working things/prices out but am not sure whether to go for the US dollar or the Peso???

Any help would be really appreciated

I'd go with pesos. It's more easy for locals not to always have to change the money as they will probably never pay anything with US dollars. that's what i've seen and experienced at least.

If you do a search with "pesos" or "currency" you can probably have something to read. It's been addressed many times.

....it's Mexico
the currency is pesos
and you'll get more bang for your buck anyway
