Planned "Get-togethers"...

Thursday night- 8PM- Early arrivers, Ala carte dinner reservations at Season's in our Private Dining Room (PDR)- tables for 15....Bonny and Mike, Bumper and Jackie, SKM, Mike and RileyG, Babaloo and Susie, sctx and Lil G, and James and Julie....did I miss anyone? Walk the property after dinner and then meet at our house for after dinner libations.....

Friday- Complimentary Breakfast buffet 7:30-10:00am (actually this is complimentary EVERY day of your stay). Some are going to Dupont Falls day trip...others hanging out around the property at the pool, fishing etc. Independent lunch at Season's (lunch is very value-priced) or other local restaurants.

Friday Night- 6-9PM Bluegrass BBQ party at the outdoor covered Pavilion....$10 per person for food and soft drinks...we will have coolers ready for our independently purchased beer, tequila and vino (bring your own)....Bluegrass duo is firmed up...Antique Roadshow (the bluegrass is our treat)

Meet at Jack and Linda's house at 9PM for after dinner dessert and libations and then move down to the lake for campfire (fire restrictions permitting), tequila, wine and beer (bring your own..we will have coolers)

Saturday -Complimentary breakfast buffet.....Good day for trips to the Biltmore House, Chimney Rock Park, Asheville shopping, Hendersonville shopping, the Carl Sandburg Home, Connemara and Lake Jocassee, Lake Lure, Dupont Falls are all options we can decide upon...or not...plenty to do right here if that is what you want....Saturday just might be a great day for a party at the pool, a little golf across the street, some fishing, bicycling, volleyball, tennis or canoeing on the lake and lunch at Season's.

2PM Saturday- Linda's Social Hour..open to ALL of our guests...Complimentary wine and cheese and goodies at the Woodward House living room lobby area.

Saturday Night- INDEPENDENT ala carte---that is, make your own reservations at Season's as smaller groups (our piano player plays on Saturday night and Sunday brunch) or ask me for recommendations on local restaurants (let me know if you want a reservation but best to spread out the size of each table)...NO restaurant in town will be easy with groups larger than 10 or so on a Saturday night. Sushi, Mexican, Chinese, BBQ, Cajun, Tapas(Asheville), Italian, or casual fine dining (us) just let me know...

Saturday Night 9PM Wine and Dessert tasting- Ever wonder how wine can have legs and great nose? Michelle, our bartender, and Kimberlee, our sommelier, host us back at Season's restaurant as a group for a complimentary, fun-filled, educational and lighthearted wine and dessert tasting in one of our private dining rooms. After that..back to Jack and Linda's house for the late night partiers......

Sunday, Sept. 9th...Scott and Terri's 12th anniversary (the dulce doce) !!!!!!

10:30 AM Sunday brunch buffet is always a big attraction (live piano music). Independent reservations or let me know if you want to do a group brunch.....your breakfast coupon is your $10 discount for this feast. (normal breakfast buffet is 7:30 to 9:30 on Sundays)

Sunday afternoon/evening- HDTV Football Sunday at Jack's house!!

Yeah Jacko and Linda for trying to put a peep meet together!!!

Michael and I have been wanting to get down to your neck of the woods for a long time....the only problem we have with this weekend is that the Raven's home opener is that Sunday, September 16.

We could possibly come down on a Thursday and then stay until Saturday afternoon. Have to go check out Map Quest and see how long of a drive we are talking.....fall sure would be the best time to come visit!

So I guess put us down as a big MAYBE!!!

I think it's through the end of your 7th month, unless you have extenuating circumstances (funny, in every other circumstance, being pg IS the extenuating part!)... I flew at Christmas for my March due date... when I asked she said she had no problems until I hit the 8th month... but obviously you will check with your doctor! Have no idea if mine was too cautious or not enough or if that is the norm!

Please put Susan and I down on the potential interest list! That's the first weekend we're back from our Playa trip, so I'm not sure what we'll be up to.

In any case we'll more than likely be up in Montreat either the weekend before or the weekend after the 4th of July, so if you'll be around we would love to drop by!

i think so too... and i think some of the airlines might have guidelines? i'll try to find it on american and see what they say...


*edit* ok, american only requires a note within 4wks of due date.. i'd be more like 6 or 7 weeks... so now i just need to talk w/ matt and see if he thinks he can get the time off.. so many details.. *sigh*

My wife and I would love to try and make your peep meet and meet everyone. Always wanted to see your part of the world. Anyhow, we'll just be getting back from Mrs. America in Tucson the week before... We'll have to see if grandma can stay another week Anything to take a few more days off work!!! Only 15 more days til PLAYA
