I must be the only person in the world who doesn't love el Fogon. The one on Constituyentes is the only one I even half like. The service on 30th and 6Bis sucks. They have an attitude of "it doesn't matter how we serve you, you'll come back." The other one on 30 needs to be hosed down, as the whole place is sticky.

La Floresta, on the highway, for shrimp or fish tacos.

Perhaps the best cheap eat right now is the 25 peso chicken kebab at King Kebab on 10th Avenue between 10th and 8th. They start serving lamb next week (35 pesos.)

Guanato City on 8th near 10th Avenue has Tortas Ahogadas (drowned sandwiches) that are made of pork (carnitas) with a bit of bean and onion in a crusty roll that is served in a soup dish of a tomato and chile sauce. Lovely. One of my favorite antojitos.

I'm looking forward to our new directory when I'll be able to pass on a link that will take you to a map laying over satelite imagery of the area, where a marker indicates the place and more info is displayed.

That's easy. Asadero El Pollo. It's the only one with the guarantee: "Remeber, if your chicken isn't hot and juicy, send it back."

Is that the seafood place El Tiboron? If so, I'm going to be trying it out in a few weeks. I'll report back.

I'll hook up with you at the pollo place. We'd have to do lunch because it closes early. I always have to have some of that pollo.

Has anyone mentioned the fish taco place on the far other side of the highway. La Floresta or something like that?
